UC Upgrade Delivery Specialization

The Delivery Specialization: UC Upgrade badge is granted to Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associates within the partner community by virtue of their successful completion of the Delivery Specialization: UC Upgrade Partner Academy course, including its Knowledge Check and Lab Assessment.

Bearers of this badge have demonstrated a practical grasp of the atomic considerations that inform any successful end-to-end upgrade to Unity Catalog, including:

- Collaborating with administrator stakeholders both within and external to the Databricks environment
- Maximizing the utility of Databricks Labs tooling such as UCX in support of the upgrade
- Effectively assessing of the readiness of the pre-UC environment for upgrade
- Understanding the best methods and processes for upgrading data assets (e.g. tables, views, and clusters) to UC
